Welcome to a Saturday full of blues!

With workshops for beginners and intermediate level blues dancers.

The theme for the day will be Ballroomin’ Blues and both levels will dive deeper into the steps, connection and flow in the ballroomin’ style of blues. This style of blues tends to travel more with elegant lines and momentum-based movements.

As an extra treat you will also have the chance to learn or revisit the Hound Dog Routine.

Not sure which level to choose?

If you have some blues experience, but have never tried ballroomin’ blues before, you can easily benefit from attending both levels.

The program:

11:00 to 13:15 Beginners level
This level is for you who have some basic experience in any partner dancing or for you who as a minimum have participated in a blues intro.

Focus: This level will focus on the basic steps and variations in Ballroomin’ blues.

13:15 to 14:00 Lunch break

14:00 to 15:00 Hound Dog Routine – both levels
The Hound Dog Routine is a solo routine choreographed by Dexter Santos and is danced socially to the song Hound Dog by Big Mama Thornton.

15:15 to 17:30 Intermediate level
This level is for you who has participated in a minimum of two thematic blues classes in Aarhus or has equal experience in blues dancing.

Focus: This class will focus more on how connection and flow will make variations more smooth and fun in Ballroomin’ blues.
