WHICH LEVEL SHOULD I TAKE?
You can only sign up for a level if you have the required experience. Please read our level descriptions and respect the admission requirements. You will find the level descriptions under “Classes/Workshops” in the top bar.

Twice a year
We do our best to balance the number of leaders and followers on all levels and workshops which is why you have to sign up in advance.
You can only sign up for the upcoming semester classes during our biannually registration period. Aarhus Lindy Hoppers’ semesters commence in January and September, and registration is usually the month before. The class and registration dates for the upcoming semester will be posted here and in our calendar as soon as they have been settled.
Please keep yourself informed about the registration period, so you don’t miss out!
no partner necessary
You don't need to sign up with a partner to start dancing lindy hop. In class, we switch partners throughout the class (rotate) and you will dance with all the other dancers on your level.
However, we do our best to balance the number of leaders and followers on all levels and workshops. So when you sign up as a single dancer, you will only be offered a spot when/if someone has signed up for the opposite role (in other words, when we have a partner for you). This might take a while as the list of single followers/leaders, who signed up before you, might be long.
THE Registration PROCESS
Step 1: Google form
When you sign up, you will be directed to a Google Form in which you will be asked to enter your personal information and how you want to sign up; if single: as leader/follower; if couple: name of partner etc.
At the end of the form you will see a confirmation screen, that your registration has been received. You will also receive an automatic confirmation e-mail for your registration.
Please note, couples only need to fill in one Google Form.
step 2: Payment Email
Once we have a spot for you, you will receive an email with a payment link and a deadline to complete your payment. It is important that you keep an eye out for this email and complete the payment within the deadline.
On the payment website (nemtilmeld.dk) you will be asked to fill in your personal information again (GDPR) and choose the right type of ticket (single/couple; student/regular).
Single sign-up
When you sign up without a partner, you will be offered a spot when/if someone has signed up for the opposite role. Until then, we will keep you on our waiting list.
Once a partner has been found for you, you will receive the email with payment details. This might take a while as the list of single followers/leaders, who signed up before you, might be long. Please be patient.
If you do not complete the payment within the deadline, the offer will unfortunately be given to the next person on the waiting list, and you will move to the bottom of the waiting list.
SIGNING UP WITH A PARTNER
When you sign up as a couple (one lead, one follow), you are both certain to get a spot independently of the single dancer waiting lists so long as the class is not yet full.
However, we do have a maximum of how many participants each class can hold pr. semester, so if you want to secure your spot, do not wait until the last minute to sign up, even if you sign up as a couple.
Remember to choose the “2 x ticket” (and the right combination of student/regular depending on you and your partner’s status) when you complete the payment.
Step 3: Acceptance email
Once your payment has been registered, you will receive a final acceptance email with the details of the class/workshop you signed up for.
Or: no spots available-email
If you did not get a spot on this semester’s classes, either because we did not find a partner for you, or the class was full, you will receive a “We hope to see you next term”-email when the registration period is over.
PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS
You can only pay with a credit card.
The latest for refund is 24 hrs before the event/classes start so we have a chance to pass your spot on to another dancer. Refunds of payment less then 24 hours before the event/classes start, or after the event/classes have started is not possible.
Transferring your payment/registration to another person, or to another semester is not possible.
Important note: if you want to participate on both the beginners’ workshop and the following weekly classes, you have to sign up for both during the registration period. It is not possible to sign up after the beginners’ workshop.
