Eiki and Miranda are back in Aarhus for a Lindy weekend workshop full of fun and joy!
Miranda and Eiki started teaching together more than 6 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. Their focus has been to share playful, relaxed, and conversational dancing. The core of their dance philosophy is dancing to the music and listening to your partner through a comfortable and relaxed connection.

Feel the flow, Swing Like a Jazz Band, Tuck Turno-mania & Jazz combos, spread over Saturday and Sunday. You are welcome to sign up for either of them or both.

You can sign up with or without a partner.
Be patient with the registration process, and with our mails, because it might take some time. Once we have a spot for you, you will receive an email with a payment link and a deadline to complete your payment. It is important that you keep an eye out for this email, and regularly check your spam folder. On the payment website (nemtilmeld.dk) you will be asked to fill in your personal information again (Required by Danish law) and choose the right type of ticket (single/couple).

improvers-intermediate and advanced dancers.
You should have completed at least the beginner level in your local scene. This class is not suitable for beginners

Feel the Flow: Transitions and Dynamics [2h]
Experience the art of seamless movement, where we focus on mastering smooth transitions between classic figures, such as swingouts. Learn how to cultivate a continuous flow that allows you to move effortlessly from one shape to the next. By integrating these techniques, you'll enhance your dancing, creating a fluid and dynamic experience that captivates both you and your partner.
Become the music - Swing Like a Jazz Band [2h]
In this class, you'll learn to let the music guide your dancing, allowing you to embody musical phrases and improvisation. We will enhance your musical awareness by aligning your movements with different instruments, enabling you to express the rhythm and melody of the music. Additionally, you'll explore how to play with tempo changes, adding a dynamic layer to your dance.
Saturday price: 300 DKK

SUNDAY
10TH novemBER, 10:30 - 13:00 (water BREAKs only)
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
open level
suited for beginners, who have been taking regular classes already, and higher-level dancers

Tuck Turno-mania & Jazz combos (2.5h)
Discover the myriad ways to dance a tuck turn. Explore a variety of creative and exciting techniques that highlight the versatility of the tuck turn, allowing you to express yourself in new ways on the dance floor. In addition, we'll integrate jazz steps and other rhythmic elements to enrich you and your partner's dancing experience. This combination of styles will add musical depth and layers to your movements, enhancing your overall expression and enjoyment.

ABOUT THE TEACHERS
Miranda
Miranda loves everything about swing dancing, and brings energy, musicality and positivity to any event she goes to. She started dancing 7 years ago, first Blues, later Lindy Hop, Vernacular Jazz, Balboa, Fusion, and Tango. She’s an accomplished follow and a skilled lead. She spent the last 4 and a half years teaching Lindy Hop in Amsterdam, Copenhagen, and Uppsala, in addition to a handful of international events. The years of experience let her share her passion with others in a fun, friendly, inclusive way. To her, the core of the dances is joy, musicality, and the connection she has with her partner.
EIKI
Eiki started to dance Lindy Hop in 2007 in his hometown of Reykjavik, Iceland, and Eiki quickly dove into as much dancing he could get his hands on. Getting into dances like Vernacular Jazz, Boogie Woogie, Salsa, Folke Swing, Balboa & Blues. Lindy Hop remained his main focus and he started sharing his passion in 2009, teaching regular classes in Iceland. From 2011 to 2013, Eiki taught Swing dance classes full time for Ali & Katja’s SwingStep club in Heidelberg. In that time he taught all over Germany and at different international events in Europe. Since 2015, Eiki has been teaching Lindy Hop classes in Copenhagen. In his classes, Eiki loves to create a relaxed and fun atmosphere while using a methodical approach and precise statements to bring his students to the next level.
