THEMATIC levels:

Thematic Levels are pop-up weekly classes and not a fixed or regular part of our semester classes. They cover a specific theme, typically another dance style, or a famous jazz routine from the Lindy Hop paraphernalia. Be quick to sign up, because they might not be offered again next semester.

The classes usually spans 3-8 weeks, and the theme changes in accordance with the available teachers, their speciality or what they are excited about at the moment.

blues

with Ida & Chloe — 3 classes

This Blues thematic is designed for dancers who have already taken classes before, or attended the Blues Fundamentals Workshop on November 29. The classes builds on your existing experience, refining your connection, musicality, and improvisation skills, and giving you more variations to use in your blues dance.

These classes are the perfect warm-up for the Mini Blues Festival in January 2027, giving you the confidence and tools to make the most of this upcoming event. Whether you’re looking to deepen your technique, build your repertoire or just get a quick brush up, this progression will prepare you to dance with joy and connection.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

BAlboa

With mehdi & anissa — 3 CLASSES

Balboa is a swing partnered dance originating from Southern California in the early 30's. Although it can be danced to any tempo, its fun resides in its ability to make the floor burn with fast rhythms, without sweating, and with flowy and elegant moves.

Two branches are typically considered when talking about Balboa : "Pure Bal" is characterized by a relaxed, closed embrace and fast feet shuffling on swing rhythms. "Bal Swing" introduces twists, turns and open positions in the dance.

These 3 classes are meant for dancers of all levels, whether you are curious to try the dance or would like to brush up your technique. We will go all the way from the basics to more advanced steps, and teach you all you need to know about flow, posture, connection and rhythm, for you to be able to glide elegantly and effortlessly on the dancefloor in no time!

Solo Jazz - Exploration Classes

Discover the foundations of Solo Jazz while building your rhythm, coordination, and movement vocabulary. Through three classes, we’ll explore classic jazz steps, experiment with musicality, and develop confidence in moving to swing music. We'll keep it light and playful.
